The 25 year-old (yes, she's lying), started her radio career as an intern at a Long Island radio station and worked her way through the ranks. After two hops across The Long Island Sound, full-time radio experience and various voice-over projects, she landed her dream job working in Market 1 radio and expanding her brand across the country. In addition, Wendy can also be heard on The Weekend Throwdown with Jagger in her "What's Up with Wendy" segment, and as a voice on The Weekend Top 30 Countdown, two nationally syndicated programs.
For those of you who know me, you know how much I love to shop. (Especially online!) I looooove my Century 21 Department Store mostly because of the amazing affordable designer clothing and because they're so on top of the latest trends.
This month in my Shape magazine, I discovered Stitch Fix, and the whole idea of it sounded so cool, I decided to give it a try.
Those are my style cards (suggestions) that came in my shipment. I chose to keep three of the pieces my stylist chose for me. (See, we are just getting to know one another.)
The idea behind Stitch Fix is that you fill out a questionnaire, these questions include anything from the styles you like to if you're pear-shaped or have long legs. It may take a few minutes. It also asks for your Pinterest & Twitter account so that your personalized stylist can get to know you better.
Five hand-picked pieces are sent to you with a pre-paid return bag you can drop in any mailbox for anything you don't want. Then you log on to the site and pay for what you want. It's cool for the super-busy, the super-lazy or if you have no style sense of your own or are open to new ideas. Think of it as a Birchbox for clothing. And I looooooove my Birchbox subscription!
Who knew rubber band bracelets were so in?!
I had a great time the other night spending time with my youngest friends, Emma (12) and Izzy (10). They're my friend, Michelle's kids and they are the sweetest, most talented girls you'll ever meet.
Each with this cool loom kit, they taught me how to make these myself. Of course, the big child I am, I ordered my own kit on Amazon. :)
When I see them next, I promised to bring along my knitting/crocheting kit. Although that seems like a way older activity... it's a surprisingly similar technique.
In case you're following my wrist injury drama on FB or Twitter and you care to know the update, lol:
My x-rays came back fine. No broken bones/fractures. It's just a pinched nerve in my neck.
How a pinched nerve in my neck is affecting my wrist or sensation in my hand is beyond me, but therapy sessions seem to be helping. At least it's nothing too serious.
Anyway, enjoy your day, as always thank you for listening. I feel so fortunate to be able to chat with you each and every day. ::Pinch Me::
Happy New Year to all of my Jewish friends celebrating Rosh Hashanah!
