The 25 year-old (yes, she's lying), started her radio career as an intern at a Long Island radio station and worked her way through the ranks. After two hops across The Long Island Sound, full-time radio experience and various voice-over projects, she landed her dream job working in Market 1 radio and expanding her brand across the country. In addition, Wendy can also be heard on The Weekend Throwdown with Jagger in her "What's Up with Wendy" segment, and as a voice on The Weekend Top 30 Countdown, two nationally syndicated programs.
Imagine my excitement when I got this text message from Anthony:
I guess we didn't need much convincing.
So, I slathered on a ton of sunscreen and headed out to practice aerial fabric (silks) with Maryann, Mel, Liz & Katie on a day that felt about 105º! "Climb until you see the water!" That was the motto of the day... and boy, it certainly is beautiful to fly next to the ocean.
This second rig is beautiful. Very similar to her sister rig w/ a few minor differences...
1 - Thicker bar! For the most part I thought trapeze fly bars were pretty standard in diameter... (1 inch thick?) In any case, this one was thicker, but after a few swings it was hardly noticable.
2 - The smaller board is back! The OG. We've gotten a little spoiled as of lately with the larger platform. You could literally throw a party on it. This one, you really need to communicate with whomever else is up there and be aware of your feet. No biggie.
3 - The view. Breathtaking. I wish I had my phone to take a picture, but I didn't want to break it. Trust me... GORGEOUS.
I would also say there was less shade, but it's beach after all... it was like getting away on a beach vacation, but not really going anywhere since this set-up is only about 20 or so minutes away from where we usually practice in NY on weekends when we can.
Oh, and although it's super sloppy... here's that "one and a half to legs" we finally caught:
