Hi there! How was your weekend? Mine was great - I tried my best to "rest off" this cold, which I feel like I've had FOREVER. (What the what?!!)
I'll start off by saying I'm such a jerk. On a normal healthy day, if someone starts coughing on the train or in a public space... I'm very quick to shoot over a dirty look. My mind screams "Why are you infecting all of us today, you should have stayed home!"
However, today that person coughing was me. It was uncontrollable. The more I tried to hold it in, the more intense it got. I was fumbling for my cough drops, while holding my hot tea... just a mess. And I felt the stares of my fellow commuters, forced to share the air and space with me.
It's rough. And I understand now, you just have to make the best of a situation. I hereby promise to be more compassionate to germy cold-infected strangers now. :)
Beauty Gossip:
For a while I was really struggling with some acne. Since purchasing and regular use of my Clarisonic, switching up my skincare routine... it's been better! FYI, I'm not endorsing Clarisonic, I actually shelled out the bucks, but it was way worth it.
Since switching it all up I discovered that I like using bb creams instead of foundation. Think of it as a tinted moisturizer with added benefits. It also provides enough coverage to even my skin out.
Maybelline makes one, and so does Garnier. These were the two I tried:

I liked both of these, but this one (above) I found provided more coverage with less product. I especially liked using this on my chin to cover up imples (my nickname for pimples, it just sounds cuter.) The color is supposed to adjust to each individual skin tone, and I found it slightly ashy. Overall, a great all-in-one product.

Since my skin is doing a lot better nowadays, this is the one I've been using on a more daily basis. It's lighter coverage, and there are more color options. I wish I had more of a tan, but I've been using Vanilla Glow and I find that it does make me glow. This as a base to bronzer/blush/powder is simply nice.
Crafty Gossip:
Maybe it's the fall. Or maybe I was inspired to start crocheting again by my friend Claire. She just made the cutest hat. So rad! I've never made a hat before, just scarves and blankets, so here was my first attempt:

Not too shabby. I found the pattern online.
So that is all. It's spell check time and then I suppose soup for lunch (again!) Enjoy your afternoon.
