My first Christmas...
When I lived in Virginia I did a lot of listening to the Kane Show on our sister station, Hot 99-5... and saw that they put up this letter today. Usually I wouldn't take things from other shows - but this is that good, and that impressive on the woman that got cheated on's part...
We had an email that a listener wanted us to read, it's a letter to the woman who slept with her husband...
To the woman who slept with my husband (now ex):
I don’t know what happened to you in the past to make you have such a lack of self-respect but I assure you, sleeping with random men will not make it better. Here are the facts. You slept with my husband following a college football game after knowing him for less than an hour. Contrary to what you may believe, I am actually a very levelheaded and reasonable person. I assumed, by his recent portrayal of cowardice and perpetual lying, that he did not indulge you in the fact that he was married. I am not a dull-minded girl who thinks that the other woman is to blame and not the man; he will be held accountable for his despicable actions. I simply would have liked to inform you of the circumstances surrounding your one night stand, which I believe was within my rights as his wife to do. I know without a doubt that I would want to know if I was lied to and degraded the way he has degraded you.
However, with your lack of self-worth prevailing, you did not seem to care about the fact that you were lied to and used for someone else’s pleasure. Instead of being angry with him and appreciative that I was sensible enough to want to give you the truth; you decided to make several harassing phone calls to me when you found out who I was. Here I am, through the pain of my failed marriage, attempting to give you the truth and you respond by screaming obscenities into the phone and having your unstable sister’s call to harass me as well. All the while you continued trying to send provocative photos of yourself to the married man you just screwed.
Fortunately for you I have a successful career that prohibits me from doing anything that would put into question my moral character. So now you will read this and try very hard to disguise the fact that you know it's about you. My hope is maybe, just maybe, you will do some soul searching and realize that whatever it is you're looking to find in your life-- attention from men, happiness, affection, inclusion-- whatever it may be, that spreading your legs for men you don't know is not the way to find it. I will go out on a limb here by saying that maybe if you made a man do a little bit of work before you gave up all the goodies, or at the very least take you out for dinner, then perhaps you would find someone who isn't with you only because you're an easy lay. That affection and attention that they give you may actually last longer than one night if you learn to have a shred of self-dignity. Aren't girls from the south supposed to be the classiest of them all? I didn’t know Southern Charm included spreading your legs for a man you barely know. I hate to admit that it would bring me an inkling of joy for everyone to know what a loose floozy you truly are, but I will show you the bit of class that you are clearly lacking. Instead of leaking your name and photo for all to see I am discreetly and kindly asking that you close your legs, stop being a disgrace to woman, and find some damn self-respect before you’re laden with shame (and STDs).
