It definitely caught my eye all over social media this weekend when many people were suddenly complaining about their Eversource electric bills..... not just one or two, but a TON of people.
Turns out, there was a wild rate hike that went in effect quietly on July 1st on the delivery portion of your bill -- causing some people's bills to straight up double.
Obviously, in the middle of a pandemic, this was the last thing that many people needed from a financial standpoint.
It caught the attention of Connecticut Attorney General William Tong, who talked today to WFSB about the issue:
